About SOCAF!

Saving Our Children and Families (SOCAF), Inc. is a Georgia-based nonprofit organization committed to providing intervention services for children that have been sexually abused. Through education and mentoring, SOCAF will put these children on a pathway to success. SOCAF will provide a safe, nurturing and enriching environment for its program members allowing them to reach their full potential.

The work of SOCAF represents the belief of its founder, DeQuanda Sanders. DeQuanda is a survivor of sexual abuse and knows first-hand the impact such abuse can have on a child's emotions, self-esteem and hope for the future. Because of positive influences in her life, she was able to overcome the emotional pain and grow in all areas of her life. SOCAF will contribute to the nurturing of children through open-forum discussions in schools, one-on-one counseling and mentoring for victims of childhood sexual abuse, providing referrals to services and college scholarship opportunities. DeQuanda believes that nurturing children through mentoring and counseling, and providing scholarships will break the cycle of abuse by building positive self-esteem and providing hope.
